MASONIC HEROES
Following a lecture given to North Notts Masters Lodge, W.Bro John Taylor, Old Worksopian Lodge No 6963, developed and expanded the subject of Masonic winners of the Victoria Cross or George Cross, the ultimate awards for gallantry and bravery, into a book – ‘Masonic Heroes’.
 
Moving from the first awards following the Crimean War of 1855 through to recent winners, with many ‘background snippets’, particular emphasis is given to recipients with a Nottinghamshire connection.
 
Proceeds from the sale will go the 2029 Nottinghamshire Festival supporting the Masonic Charitable Foundation.
